Oregon Driver Education Center offers one of the state’s only programs designed to give freedom of mobility to individuals who would not otherwise meet minimum vision requirements. According to DMV records, individuals who have completed our course have maintained nearly perfect driving records! This is possible by teaching good visual searching techniques; good driving is about using the vision you have effectively!
Once a person has been cleared by their low vision specialist, contact ODEC to enroll in our training program.

Teen Driver under 18

• 30 hours of Classroom
• 6 hours of in-car observation
• 24 hours of behind-the-wheel
• Tuition: $1,670

New adult drivers 18 or older

• 30 hours of theoretical training
• 6 hours of practical training
• 24 hours of behind-the-wheel
• Tuition: $2,080

Previously licensed drivers

• 6 hours of practical training
• 15 hours of behind-the-wheel training
• Tuition: $1,365
